Next up in the series of Alex and Cole... Playing with some mini and ultra cool pumpkins I found in the supermarket, of all places. They were having a blast! And these are all too relevant for this week. Are you geared up for Halloween?!

She's Got the Glow

I'd like to think I treat my kids equally, the same amount of attention washing over them as the others...but when it comes to photographing them, I guess the lion's share goes to my sweet little girl. Ever the budding model, she loves to gaze out windows with the best of them. ;)

Here are the first in a series of pics with her and Cole (Braden was sick and sleeping late this particular morning). Just practicing for their fall pics which we took and will be up on their own site soon...

Crisp Autumn Air, Bright Sunshine...

On a recent walk down the driveway, I decided to record some morning light. I wanted to see the difference an evening vs. morning picture would create. Just learning, I knew there were differences in color, but now I know see what it really looks like...cool vs warm. I don't have any comparisons with this camera, but here are some late morning shots strolling down our driveway.

I also desperately wanted to capture the gorgeous colors this year, staring at them through the cage that is my life right now... ;) So, if morning is when it had to be, morning it is.

I can't decide...

Black and White? Or color? Miss A's blue eyes are stunning, yet the B&W's are too... What do you think?

Princess Alexandria

I know that my ultimate goal is pets, but a side benefit is that I can learn to photograph my children better. It's all about practicing with the camera, the light, the editing...

Here are some recent ones of Little Miss A... some were way overexposed, but I still like them enough to include them. ;)

My goal was to find the absolute most amount of light in my house...and this window was it. Not as much as I was hoping for, but workable. I have seen some incredible pictures full of a brilliant light, but I know now, that will never be in my dark old farmhouse. Oh well, I will practice elsewhere!
